FAQs - General

Is there an age limit?
BounceU is suitable for ages 3 to adult, but all bouncers must be 36 inches or taller and able to walk in order to play on all equipment. Walkers up to 3 years can go in, but should have an adult accompanying them since the equipment is quite big. We encourage adults to participate in the bounce rooms. They tend to have as much, or even more, fun than the kids.

Can we just come in and play?
You are welcome to come in to play during our scheduled "Open Bounce" times which are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm and Wednesday Family Night from 5-8 pm. Our Preschool Playdates are Wednesdays from 10:30am-12:30pm, please call to make to book a group session. We typically have Open Bounce sessions on half days, school holidays and all summer. How do I schedule a BounceU party?
It's easy! Just give us a call and we will be happy to reserve your special day and time! For your convenience, you can also request a date online or via email (pleasantville.nj@bounceu.com) and our party consultant will call you within 24 hours during normal weekday business hours.

Is a deposit required to book a party?
A $100 deposit is required to reserve your party. You may pay over the phone with a credit or debit card or pay cash in person by visiting our location. (Please call 609-407-0088 first as store hours may vary.)

Is my deposit refundable?
Your $100 deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from your balance the day of your party. Should you have a family medical emergency or inclement weather the day of party and cannot have your party on original desired date, we may be able to change the date as a courtesy one time only, subject to management approval based on the nature of the situation and may be subject to a $50 surcharge. For changes due to other concerns, there is a $50 surcharge to change the date. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Can I change my package or selections once my party is booked?
Once you place your deposit, your party selections are permanent to avoid lack of communication or misunderstanding. Please make sure you are positive about your cake theme/flavors and souvenir order before you book. Switching cake themes/flavors or souvenirs after booking can be confusing on both ends. (For example: Parents have changed their cake themes, then bought corresponding decorations for original theme they ordered or first selected boppers, then changed to goodie bags and brought in goodie bags the day of party thinking they would give out boppers & goodie bags from home, but wind up giving both BounceU goodie bags & themed goodie because they forgot they changed their order from boppers to goodie bags). Although we are not responsible for those cases, we like to ensure that your party is a success from the time you book until the time we load your car!

Can I downgrade my package if not enough people RSVP?
Unfortunately, we cannot downgrade a party once it is booked. From the moment you call and make your selections we are busy working hard with your particulars in order to create for you memories that last a lifetime. We have also held that time for you personally from being booked by another VIP Birthday family. We ask that you be very sure with your package selection from the moment you book it.

Can I upgrade my package if my headcount increases?
You can upgrade your package, however in the event you originally selected a Val-U or UJunior package which has a different time frame on weekends, we will not be able to increase the time because it will cause a major conflict in our schedule. Upgrading from a Val-U to UJunior or from a Premier to a Spectac-U-lar is less complicated as timeframes are the same, however going from a Premier to a Spectac-U-lar, you would still need to bring your own cake if the change is less than 10 days.

Can we have the bounce room for longer than an1 hour and 15 minutes?
Based on our party scheduling, we can offer an extended stay in the bounce rooms, however it would have to be one of the later parties of the day. For example: 6:10pm, 6:50pm, 7:30pm, or 8:10pm. In such cases, every 15 minutes is an additional $25 and would have to be selected at the time of booking.

I don't think 45 minutes is enough time in the party room, can we have it for longer?

Do I have to know my head count and other options when I reserve my party?
No. We will call you about 7-10 days before your scheduled party date to confirm your head count. You can place an order for food and other add-ons at that time.

Can I use my own decorations and/or paper products in the party room?
You are welcome to use your own decorations and/or paper products in the party room. To preserve the integrity of our party rooms, we do not permit wall or ceiling decorations, streamers, silly string, confetti, or piñatas. If these items are used, you may be subject to a clean-up fee of $25.

Is each guest, including adults, required to have a completed/signed waiver?
For insurance purposes, all guests who are using our equipments must have a waiver completed and signed by a parent/guardian each time they come to BounceU. Waivers are available at the front desk or on our website for express check in.

What time should I arrive at my party?
The check-in time for you and your guest is 15 minutes prior to your event. You are more that welcomed to arrive earlier, however keep in mind your party pros are not available to check-in your party until the scheduled time considering they are either finishing another party or just arriving for their shift and not on the clock.

What happens if my guests or I arrive late? Can I get a time extension?
Unfortunately we cannot extend your party time when you or your guests arrive late. We host back to back parties every day and staying on-schedule is critical to our guest satisfaction and operations. We recommend you inform your guests to arrive about 15 minutes before the party start time for check in.

What is required of me during the party?
Nothing, but taking plenty of pictures! After you check in and assist our party pros and your guest in giving your VIP Birthday person a BIG Birthday greeting, we ask that you have a BounceU time and immediately advise us if there is anything we can do to better serve you throughout your visit. In the party room, we kindly ask that you and your guest allow your party pros to completely serve your party. We appreciate as a mom you feel compelled to assist our party pros, however it slows down their process and method. In addition, we are committed to creating memories last a lifetime, which includes catering to you as well.

What happens if my party ends late?
Our parties are booked back to back and we need you and your guest to be courteous and exit promptly when your party time is complete in order for our maintenance team to prepare our party room for another VIP Birthday family. There is a $25 surcharge for any party that goes over their time in the party room.

Am I required to tip my party pros as servers?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to provide a gratuity as you would in a restaurant setting considering our party pros work on waiter/waitress wages and work a lot harder with 10-35 of your guest in order to create memories that last a lifetime. We encourage you to bring additional cash in order to reward our exceptional party pros according to their effort. While gratuity is optional, we ask that your giving is fair since we don’t impose 20% for parties over 6 people like the average restaurant.

Does everyone have to wear socks?
Yes, everyone is required to wear socks that are available for purchase at our front desk.

FAQs - Food and Cake

When is my final food count deadline?
The final food count deadline is recommended no later than 7-14 days prior to your party for total accuracy and required from our outside caterer. Additional food items after your deadline are limited to pizza based on the availability of our caterer. We recommend you call to add pizza the day before if you have a morning or early afternoon party or immediately upon arrival when you check in. Please be mindful that weekends are a busy time for our caterer and if an insufficient order was placed during your 7-14 days required food deadline, we are not responsible if an additional food order is not possible.

Can I order extra pizza or other food once my party has begun?
No. We must order food products the day before your party so that all meals are prepared to order with fresh ingredients. We do not maintain extra food products at the BounceU premises.

How many people does the pizza serve?
The pizza pies are cut into 10 slices to eliminate waste and get the most out of your pie. We recommend you order two slices per guest you are planning to feed in order to allow seconds.

I don't want to serve a full meal, can I bring in my own snacks?
We have many snack food options you can select: veggie tray, fruit tray, cookies, and large party bowl of snacks (goldfish, tortilla chips, pretzels and potatoe chips ). Please see Party Add-Ons page for more information on other items. But please do not bring in food other than your party cake.

Are paper products and utensils provided?
Paper products and utensils are provided for your entire party ONLY when food is purchased from our menu. If you are only serving cake at your party and only purchasing beverages from us, we will provide cups, however you are required to provide cake paper plates and utensils. Should you need us to provide them for you there is a surcharge of $10 that will be added to your party total.
Also, serving utensils, candles and a lighter are always provided and will be handled by the party pros for your convenience.


Can I bring my own goodie bags and/or balloons?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own goodie bags and balloons. We do recommend that you to check out our party favor options. We offer variety of fun and cool party favors at a reasonable price!
